Job summary

Alo, based in California, seeks a Manager, Trade Compliance- Self Audit, Controls and Reporting to lead internal audit and controls across import/export. You will design the self-audit program, establish risk-based controls, and deliver data-driven reporting to senior leaders.

The role requires 5+ years in trade compliance with audit or reporting experience, knowledge of US/EU/Canada trade rules, and proficiency with Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Accounting, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in trade compliance, with at least 2 years focused on internal audit, controls testing, or compliance reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, EU customs codes, Canada CBSA, and Asia-Pacific trade laws.
• Experience designing and managing internal audit programs, control frameworks, or compliance monitoring for trade or customs operations.
• Experience building compliance reporting and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and lead a comprehensive self-audit program covering import/export activities across traditional and e-commerce channels.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based internal controls framework for trade compliance processes.
• Build annual and cyclical audit plans, define sampling methodologies, and conduct periodic self-assessments.
• Track audit findings and CAPs through remediation with root-cause analysis.
• Prepare and present compliance reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to leadership; monitor regulatory changes.
