Job summary

Palantir's Legal Team seeks a Risk and Compliance Specialist - Global Trade to build and scale a global trade compliance program. You will guide ITAR/EAR implementation, draft TAAs, and oversee licensing, screening, and third-party risk across international operations.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams, manage complex investigations, and mentor junior staff while advancing Palantir's regulatory posture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience on a risk or compliance team, including leadership of a function or workstream.
• Experience in a trade compliance role for a U.S. defense contractor or SaaS with ITAR-controlled products.
• Experience conducting KYC or third-party due diligence in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to draft and manage export/import authorizations and related contract language.

Responsibilities

• Manage submission of U.S. government trade controls, licenses, and registrations, including defense-related licenses.
• Provide regulatory guidance on ITAR/EAR implementation and maintain trade compliance policies and trainings.
• Triage export control incidents and adjudicate foreign national access to ITAR data.
• Conduct third-party due diligence and risk assessments across customers, counterparties, and suppliers.
• Coordinate cross-functional risk initiatives spanning export controls and sanctions compliance.
