Job summary

URBN Global Trade & Compliance seeks an International Customs Compliance Intern for the summer at the Philadelphia Home Office. You will support trade processes, classification tasks, and document reviews to ensure accuracy before shipments.

The role offers hands-on learning, exposure to senior leadership, and potential for a full-time opportunity if qualifying. URBN’s internship runs from 6/7 to 8/13 and is paid.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Basic familiarity with Incoterms, customs entry processes or import/export regulations.
• Strong Excel skills: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, filtering; exposure to BI tools is a plus.
• Meticulous data audit and high data accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional teamwork.
• Proactive mindset to research regulatory topics and solve unstructured problems.

Responsibilities

• Learn HS code classification principles for everyday products with guidance.
• Review and audit export documentation for accuracy before shipment.
• Cross-reference product data against customs requirements to flag gaps in tariff codes or origin details.
• Extract and organize global trade data using Excel or BI tools to track metrics.
• Monitor regulatory updates from customs authorities and summarize key changes.
