Job summary

Vertex Inc. seeks a Director of Global Trade Compliance to own and execute global trade processes and regulatory activities across Vertex’s supply chain. You will lead a team to ensure accurate customs declarations and scalable, compliant systems globally.

The role collaborates with Legal, Tax, Finance, Regulatory and DTE, driving strategic solutions and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own global trade compliance processes and systems.
• Lead interpretation and operationalization of trade requirements for US, EU, UK.
• Oversee import/export declarations, valuation, tariff classification, origin, and licenses.
• Drive global strategy for GTC processes with cross-functional partners.
• Monitor regulations and advise on impacts; support advocacy as needed.
• Develop and deploy metrics for export, release, and delivery performance; lead CAPA.
• Partner with senior leadership to execute a global trade strategy and governance model.
