Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Director of Global Trade Compliance to lead export controls, import regulations, sanctions, and cross-border trade laws as Voyager expands its global footprint. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer in the Legal department, this remote role requires 8+ years in trade compliance, strong BIS/DDTC/CBP/OFAC experience, and the ability to advise senior executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 8+ years in global trade compliance or related fields, preferably aerospace/defense.
• Strong knowledge of ITAR/EAR, OFAC sanctions, and U.S. customs regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve global trade compliance program, including export controls (ITAR/EAR), import/compliance, sanctions (OFAC).
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls for cross‑jurisdiction compliance.
• Oversee product/technology classification (ECCN, USML, HTS) and licensing processes.
• Manage import compliance activities, including customs valuation and tariff classification.
• Lead screening for denied/restricted parties and embargoed entities across sales, procurement, and partnerships.
• Conduct risk assessments and internal audits of trade controls; drive remediation.
• Lead responses to compliance incidents, including self‑disclosures and government inquiries.
• Advise leadership on trade compliance risks tied to new products, markets, partnerships, and hires.
• Build, mentor, and manage a growing trade compliance team.
