Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm advising on U.S. federal regulatory matters, including export controls, sanctions, national-security or trade matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise on export-controlled commodities, software, data and defense services under ITAR/EAR.
• Drive ITAR/EAR compliance program improvements and policy updates.
• Collaborate with engineering on jurisdiction and classification for hardware/software used in rockets and satellites.
• Engage with State and Commerce on regulator interpretations and authorizations.
• Prepare and manage export licenses and exemptions.
• Lead investigations into potential trade compliance non‑compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct internal compliance audits and improve policies and procedures.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with internal SpaceX partners.
