Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior International Trade Export Compliance Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance across the enterprise. This role will advise on sanctions, export controls, licensing, investigations, disclosures, risk mitigation and program governance.

The successful candidate will partner closely with global business units and cross-functional teams to strengthen Carrier’s trade compliance program, support compliant growth and help ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• Juris Doctor with emphasis on international trade is preferred.
• 7+ years of legal/compliance/international trade experience.
• Experience with sanctions, export controls, licensing and related compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global export compliance team and advise on complex regulatory matters.
• Design and improve trade compliance policies, procedures and training.
• Monitor changes in trade laws and geopolitical controls globally.
• Coordinate investigations and disclosures to government agencies when required.
