Qualifications

3+ years of experience in global trade, customs compliance, import/export operations, or related field.
Experience using BI Publisher for reporting, data extraction, and analysis.
Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, customs entry processes, and international trade requirements.
Experience supporting CTPAT, ISA, FTZ, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) programs.
Knowledge of HTS classification, customs valuation, country of origin determination, and duty mitigation strategies.
Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification.
Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with SAP, JDE, GME, ACE, or other trade management systems.
Knowledge of export controls, sanctions compliance, and denied party screening processes.

Responsibilities

Support daily import and export operations and ensure compliant cross-border movement of products and materials.
Monitor customs clearance activities, resolve shipment delays and compliance issues, and collaborate with customs brokers and logistics providers.
Ensure accurate customs declarations, tariff classifications, customs valuation determinations, and country of origin assessments.
Support and maintain Baxter's trade compliance programs, including CTPAT, ISA, FTZ, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) initiatives.
Conduct post-entry reviews, compliance testing, self-assessments, audits, and corrective action activities to maintain regulatory compliance.
Manage FTA qualification and certification processes, perform origin analyses, and identify duty savings opportunities through trade preference programs.
Support FTZ administration activities, including inventory control, reporting, reconciliations, admissions, withdrawals, and audit preparation.
Analyze trade data, duty spend, broker performance metrics, and compliance trends to develop reports, dashboards, and recommendations that improve operational performance and reduce risk.
