Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Senior Trade and Customs Analyst to ensure Baxter's global trade operations stay compliant, efficient, and strategically optimized.

You will serve as a subject matter expert for US and international import/export activities, navigating complex customs regulations and trade programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and finance to manage compliance obligations, identify duty savings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and trade compliance.
• Experience with CTPAT/ISA/FTZ/FTA programs.
• Proficient in HTS classification, customs valuation, and origin determinations.
• Experience with brokers, forwarders, and government agencies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily import and export operations and ensure compliant cross-border movement of products and materials.
• Monitor customs clearance activities, resolve shipment delays and compliance issues, and collaborate with brokers and logistics providers.
• Ensure accurate customs declarations, tariff classifications, valuations, and origin determinations.
• Support and maintain Baxter's trade compliance programs (CTPAT, ISA, FTZ, FTA).
• Conduct post-entry reviews, audits, self-assessments, and corrective actions to maintain compliance.
• Manage FTA qualification and certification processes and perform origin analyses for duty savings.
• Support FTZ administration activities including inventory control and audit prep.
• Analyze trade data, duty spend, broker metrics to improve performance and reduce risk.
