Job summary

Copeland LP is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst in El Paso, TX to coordinate export/import regulatory compliance, including HTS/EAR classifications and screening. You will work with brokers, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure adherence to US and international regulations and drive continuous process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of Oracle ERP or JDE/Oracle for reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2–3 years directly related professional work experience (Required)
• Working knowledge of Trade Compliance
• Strong knowledge of transportation industry including truckload, less-than-truckload, air, ocean, and parcel.
• Must be detailed oriented, proactive in anticipating requirements and able to work efficiently with minimal direction in a sometimes-high pressure environment
• Strong communication, analytical and leadership experience required
• Strong team player
• Successfully interacts with a dispersed leadership team and others across functions and sites.

Responsibilities

• Run weekly entry filing report & monthly duty and tax report
• Maintain Customs entry files according to US Customs recordkeeping guidelines and audit entries and invoices for accuracy
• Classifying products for import and export using HTSUS GRs, schedule B's, EAR, and other regulatory info
• Liaise with Comfort Control operations, supply chain, logistics and vendors to ensure alignment with trade compliance policies
• Use JDE/Oracle to build and maintain reports for Global trade metrics
• Develop and conduct trade compliance training
• Screening daily requests from sales distribution/sales OEM
• Other activities or duties assigned
