Copeland is seeking a Trade Compliance Clerk to coordinate export/import regulatory compliance, including ECCN classifications, HTSUS determinations, and ACE reporting. You will liaise with brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely, compliant shipments and maintain internal controls across the distribution network.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of experience in trade compliance, with strong knowledge of transportation modes and reporting

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years directly related professional work experience (Required).
• Working knowledge of Trade Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of transportation industry incl. truckload, LTL, air, ocean, and parcel.
• Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles and apply terms to everyday situations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detailed oriented, proactive in anticipating requirements and able to work efficiently in high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication, analytical and leadership experience required.
• Strong team player.
• Successfully interacts with a dispersed leadership team and others across functions and sites.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and/or Oracle Global Logistics Modules, CASS.
• Background in Oracle Transportation Management preferred.
• Business Intelligence/Data warehouse concepts with knowledge of Reporting Tools is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate activities involved in export/import regulatory compliance including ECCN classifications and country of origin determination.
• Manage ACE reporting, screening, and internal controls for trade compliance.
• Maintain HTS database and participate in audits and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues causing delays.
• Verify import documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Lead training and drive trade compliance initiatives across the organization.
• Develop and maintain reports using JDE/Oracle and other reporting tools.
• Screen daily requests from sales and distribution and provide guidance.
