Job summary

Rocky Mountain Institute seeks a Total Rewards Senior Lead to own compensation strategy, benefits design, LOA policy, and people analytics for a global workforce. You will architect the function with full accountability and partner across People Operations to drive decisions.

This senior individual contributor role requires 7+ years in Total Rewards, strong data analytics, and proven ability to influence without direct authority.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Total Rewards, Compensation, or Benefits with ownership of strategy and analytics.
• Global workforce experience across geographies and employment types.
• Strong analytical skills; proficient with Excel/Google Sheets and HRIS (Workday preferred).
• Knowledge of US benefits compliance (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA) and international benefits.
• Experience with LOA policies and complex policy design; strong communication.
• Ability to lead a function independently with influence and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve global compensation strategy, structure design, and annual cycle.
• Lead benchmarking and pay equity reviews using market data to stay competitive.
• Advise on offers, internal equity, and payroll accuracy; serve as Total Rewards SME.
• Design and oversee benefits programs for US and global populations.
