Job summary

Recurrent Energy is seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting to join the Global Finance team, focusing on U.S. GAAP technical accounting research and complex transaction analysis in the North America region.

This individual contributor role requires strong writing, CPA designation, and collaboration with Tax, Legal, FP&A, and project finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and policy development in a dynamic energy business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. 3+ years in technical accounting.
• U.S. or Canadian CPA designation required.
• Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in energy/renewable sectors preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research complex guidance.
• Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with HFM and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. GAAP technical accounting research and memos.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close with accounting judgments.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Legal, and FP&A across North America.
• Develop accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide training materials for Finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external auditors on technical matters.
