Job summary

Spire Global is seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting to elevate accounting rigor and ensure ASC 606 compliance across the organization. You will research GAAP, prepare memos on complex transactions, and partner with Sales, Legal, and Finance for contract terms.

This role emphasizes global consolidation, internal controls, and SEC disclosures. You will lead policy development, support quarterly and annual closes, and oversee audit interactions with external teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; active CPA license required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience; Big 4 or national firm preferred.
• Proven hands-on experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 810, and technical memo writing.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply complex U.S. GAAP guidance including ASC 606/842/805/810/718.
• Author technical accounting memos outlining conclusions for complex transactions.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and assess impact on financial statements.
• Develop and maintain corporate accounting policies in line with U.S. GAAP and SEC standards.
• Oversee revenue accounting across multiple streams to ensure ASC 606 compliance.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, and Finance during contract negotiations.
