Job summary

State Street is seeking a Software Developer lead to contribute to the Transaction Management platform as a leader of a global distributed team. The role focuses on developing, enhancing, and maintaining our financial space solutions using cutting edge technologies.

The Senior Software Developer will work independently on software enhancements, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver robust cloud-based applications with Java and related technologies.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of commercial software development
• Experience in micro-services architecture and cloud computing
• Professional Java development experience (core Java and multithreading)
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration in a team
• Experience leading mid to large scale development teams

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug software within business and technical problem domains
• Handle projects and initiatives independently
• Develop, test, and implement software using cloud computing (Java or related languages)
• Lead and mentor teams across geographically dispersed locations
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure high quality product
• Participate in code reviews
• Actively participate in agile SCRUM ceremonies
• Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs and devising solutions
