Job summary

Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. seeks a seasoned Corporate Counsel to support its Real Estate and Global Sourcing practice group. The role focuses on technology agreements, data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI matters, advising internal clients and negotiating complex contracts.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across time zones, contribute to strategic initiatives, and help manage outside counsel. A JD and bar admission in at least one U.S.

Qualifications

• JD and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of legal practice, with deep experience in technology matters.
• Prior in-house experience preferred; law firm experience welcomed.
• Excellent judgment, a collaborative working style, and a sense of humor.
• Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and advise on SaaS, AI, developer, and other technology-related agreements and matters.
• Provide clear, business-centric legal guidance to internal clients.
• Partner cross-functionally with legal, procurement, and operations teams worldwide.
• Assisting with outside counsel management as part of the Legal Department’s strategic initiatives.
