Job summary

Heidrick & Struggles, a leading executive search firm in Chicago, seeks a Senior Associate to drive the recruitment lifecycle from candidate identification to placement. You will work with Consultants, build search strategies, and develop client relationships while mentoring and learning in a global, apprenticeship-style environment.

You will engage in market research, candidate assessment, and communications with clients, contributing to business development and the firm’s growth.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years professional recruiting experience or a minimum of 3+ years of transferable recruiting experience.
• An undergraduate BA/BS degree is required.
• Exhibits skill and developing mastery of professional communications, displaying adeptness in writing, articulating, and delivering information with confidence and impact.
• Exhibits a proven ability to collaborate with external clients and candidates, showcasing adeptness in influencing and fostering productive partnerships.
• Experience in executive search, contingent search, or in-house talent acquisition is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop position specifications and create an effective search strategy with the Consultant.
• Conduct industry- and client-specific research, map the executive talent landscape, and provide market insights.
• Assist Consultants in preparing business development materials for prospective and current clients.
• Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit to position specifications.
• Write candidate assessments and present candidates to clients; manage relationships through the search lifecycle.
