Job summary

Western Digital Corp. is seeking a senior technology PR leader to shape and execute a proactive, narrative-driven program that positions WD as a key voice in AI infrastructure.

You will serve as the primary interface between WD's executive team and media, driving strategy and hands-on day-to-day execution that keeps WD’s story visible across major outlets and digital channels. This role demands deep tech fluency and executive-level communication skills.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of technology PR experience, with significant in-house work at a global enterprise tech company.
• Deep relationships with technology media ready to activate.
• Proven track record landing top-tier coverage for complex enterprise tech products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own WD's global tech PR strategy and narrative architecture.
• Manage relationships with top technology press and trade publications.
• Lead all aspects of media relations, from story development to press distribution.
• Direct external PR agency relationships for measurable outcomes.
• Partner with executives on thought leadership content and speaking opportunities.
• Coordinate launch PR for major product announcements and partnerships.
• Manage executive visibility through podcasts, panels, and industry awards.
• Monitor media landscape and synthesize insights for leadership decisions.
• Coordinate with Corporate and International PR to amplify outputs across channels.
• Support PR measurement, share of voice, and impact on web traffic and pipeline.
• Oversee press events at major conferences.
