Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Tax Provision & Forecasting to own the end-to-end ASC 740 tax provision process and related SOX 404 controls. Qualifications

• CPA license required (or MST/JD equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MST or MBA strongly preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive tax accounting experience in public accounting or multinational corporate tax.
• Hands-on with ONESOURCE Tax Provision, Corptax, and ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite).
• Strong leadership, analytical, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead calculation, consolidation, and review of quarterly and annual global tax provisions under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax balances and ETR reconciliations.
• Manage uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10 / FIN 48) and tax reserve calculations.
• Oversee financial statement disclosures, tax footnotes, and technical accounting memos for filings.
• Analyze accounting impact of complex tax transactions across international frameworks, transfer pricing, and M&A.
• Administer and optimize tax software and drive automation across reporting workflows.
• Maintain, test, and enforce SOX 404 controls over tax provision and reporting.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, and Corporate Development to model multi-quarter ETR forecasts and cash flows.
• Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to executives and cross-functional teams.
