Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Tax Provision & Forecasting to lead the global tax reporting processes. You will own ASC 740 tax provision, maintain SOX 404 controls, and serve as primary liaison to external auditors, translating complex tax rules into clear executive insights.

Qualifications

• CPA license required (or MST/JD equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MST or MBA strongly preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive tax accounting experience in Big 4 or multinational corporate tax.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quarterly and annual global tax provisions under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax balances and ETR reconciliations.
• Manage uncertain tax positions and tax reserve calculations.
• Oversee financial statement disclosures, tax footnotes, and technical accounting memos for filings.
• Analyze complex tax transactions across international frameworks (GILTI, BEAT, Pillar Two) and transfer pricing.
• Administer tax software and drive process automation in reporting workflows using BI tools.
• Maintain SOX 404 controls and ensure compliance across tax reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, and Corporate Development for multi-quarter forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Communicate complex tax accounting concepts to senior management and non-tax teams.
