Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead the global income tax provision and related reporting. You will own ASC 740 analyses, coordinate with global finance teams, and manage interaction with external auditors.

The role emphasizes optimizing tax processes, implementing automation, and driving SOX controls across the tax function. Seattle-based with strong collaboration across Tax and Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field.
• Eight+ years of ASC 740 experience for a multinational public company.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal/state income tax concepts.
• Experience with SOX controls over income taxes and external auditors.
• Experience with tax provision software (TRCS or OneSource).
• Proficient tax research, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex positions to leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee interim and annual U.S. GAAP income tax provision (ASC 740) and related tax accounting.
• Lead uncertain tax positions analyses and valuation allowance assessments.
• Serve as primary tax contact for external auditors during reviews and annual audit.
• Present provision results and drivers to Tax and Finance leadership.
• Collaborate with Global Finance, Tax, FP&A to forecast cash taxes and ETRs.
• Drive implementation and enhancement of tax provision software (TRCS).
• Own SOX controls for income taxes and maintain documentation.
• Research and model effects of legislative/accounting changes.
