Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Tax Manager to lead U.S. international tax reporting and provision activities for our Seattle operations. This role partners with Global Finance and Tax teams to deliver accurate, timely tax outcomes across the international footprint.

The candidate should have 5+ years in a Big Four or equivalent and strong ASC 740 knowledge, with experience in tax provisions, compliance, and software. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field, plus 5+ years in Big Four or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax, ASC 740, and federal income tax concepts
• Experience supporting tax provisions and compliance activities
• Experience with tax provision and compliance software
• Strong tax research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly and year-end U.S. GAAP tax provisions for international operations
• Calculate foreign tax credits, FDDEI deductions, Subpart F and NCTI inclusions
• Review book-to-tax differences for international operations
• Review U.S. international tax forms (Forms 1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8992)
• Support international components of U.S. federal income tax audits and inquiries
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers, documentation, and financial records
• Provide tax support for international transactions (M&A, reorganizations, and other initiatives)
• Monitor tax legislation and translate changes into clear recommendations for leadership
• Drive AI-enabled process improvements and adoption of new tax technology tools
• Maintain process documentation and support transformation initiatives
• Build partnerships across Tax, Finance and cross-functional teams
