Job summary

EY EDGE Practice seeks a senior tax operations leader to oversee data preparation, reporting, and transaction taxes for financial services clients in a hybrid US-based role. You will drive delivery across multiple workstreams, coordinate audits, and mentor a growing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics.
• 8+ years of operational delivery experience.
• CPA, EA, or licensed attorney.
• Ability to prioritize, handle and track multiple assignments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to draft/design business requirements, process flow diagrams and rules matrices.
• Change management, operations and process improvement experience.
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and actively engage in implementing improvements.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven skills in developing employees.
• Strong oral and written communication as well as presentation skills.
• Excellent trouble shooting, execution and communication skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Power Point, Proficiency in tax accounting systems

Responsibilities

• Lead tax operations team and manage data preparation, aggregation, and reporting activities.
• Coordinate day-to-day interactions with clients and review KPIs by work stream.
• Drive on-time delivery and client satisfaction; mentor team members.
• Oversee team workload, progress reporting, quality and utilization.
• Ensure standardized processes for tax operations and coordinate trainings.
• Support client internal and external audits with documentation of current processes.
• Demonstrate performance and drive efficiencies via KRIs and KPIs.
• Manage service quality and engagement risk.
• Understand business financials to ensure budgeted work.
• Travel 20% or less
