Job summary

SpaceX Bastrop, TX seeks a Sr. Global Supply Manager for construction to lead a team of buyers, develop contract processes and drive cost reductions across Starlink facilities and future buildings. You will work with stakeholders to optimize sourcing, terms and supplier performance.

The role requires strong negotiation, project management, and technical procurement skills, with travel and extended hours as needed. On-site position in Bastrop, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, materials planning, operations or construction management
• Candidates should have strong budget tracking and cost analytics capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5-10 buyers for construction of future buildings and facilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive contract management process with key internal stakeholders
• Create sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet cost targets
• Build strategic supplier relationships to optimize value and drive cost reductions
• Identify and drive cost reduction projects with stakeholders and timelines
• Perform analyses to quantify financial impacts of decisions and cost improvements
• Define SLAs and KPIs for suppliers and monitor performance
• Conduct market research and benchmarking for assigned categories
• Collaborate with legal to create contract documents
• Manage contracts to ensure supplier performance and compliance
• Negotiate to maximize value and lower risk
• Drive year-over-year cost optimization and waste reduction
• Establish preferred suppliers and governance programs
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in the supply base
• Place purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices
• Lead efforts to reduce transaction volume and improve efficiency
