Job summary

CorDx, a multinational biotech company, is seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Assistant to support carrier coordination, order entry, and documentation within our San Diego onsite facility. The role focuses on shipping, tracking, and coordinating inbound/outbound activities, with emphasis on accuracy and timely communications with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a related field is required.
• Experience with shipping carriers, scheduling shipments, tracking orders, and logging receipts.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; SOS Inventory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with carriers to arrange shipments, track deliveries, and resolve issues during transit.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and inquiries.
• Print shipping labels for small packaging shipments per customer requirements.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods per schedules and service levels.
• Maintain documentation related to inbound products from China.
• Enter sales orders and purchase orders into the SOS inventory system.
• Keep detailed shipment records.
• Follow up on and monitor order status across the supply chain.
• Test samples per SOPs and report results to supervisor.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
• Implement best practices to optimize procurement and reduce costs.
