Job summary

Sea Machines Robotics, based in Boston, seeks a detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to lead day-to-day purchasing, inventory management, material planning, shipping, and supplier coordination. You will manage POs, quotes, and inbound/outbound deliveries to ensure materials are available when needed.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, finance, and logistics to resolve discrepancies, track performance, and drive cost-control across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office applications.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or inventory management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and supplier coordination.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, request supplier quotes, and compare pricing, lead times, and availability.
• Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgments, delivery dates, backorders, and overdue materials.
• Maintain accurate supplier, part, pricing, inventory, and purchasing records in the company’s systems.
• Track open purchase orders and communicate material shortages, supplier delays, and schedule risks.
• Work closely with Logistics Operations to help track inbound and outbound shipments and communicate shipment status to internal teams.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, and other internal teams to confirm material requirements and resolve purchasing or inventory discrepancies.
• Support inventory replenishment, supplier performance tracking, purchasing reports, cost-control efforts, and supply chain improvement activities.
