Job summary

UltraUltra in New York City is seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Lead to own sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships as we scale production from 100 to 1000+ units. You’ll introduce tooling and AI-assisted processes to keep parts flow predictable and on time, while negotiating terms and maintaining quality.

You will travel internationally to build the supply base, manage inbound logistics, and partner with hardware teams to ensure efficient, scalable purchasing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning procurement, sourcing, and/or supply chain in hardware or manufacturing.
• Strong supplier management: finding and qualifying vendors, negotiating pricing and terms.
• Track record of making ordering and purchasing run smoothly with POs and approvals.
• Experience with inventory management and demand forecasting; tooling to enable speed.
• In-depth inbound logistics knowledge: booking freight, shipments, and customs.
• Willingness to travel internationally, including to China, to develop the supply base.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage vendor relationships.
• Find, vet, and set up new supplier and contract-manufacturer relationships globally.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times.
• Develop supplier scorecards and resolve cost and delivery issues.
• Own ordering, purchasing, and planning; track POs to keep builds on schedule.
• Drive supplier quality control and enforce quality expectations with suppliers.
