Job summary

Nextern is seeking a Director of Global Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain organization across multiple sites including the US, Costa Rica, Vietnam, and China. The role focuses on building capabilities, governance, and scalable processes to support growth and NOS integration.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership across sourcing, planning, inventory, and logistics, with extensive experience in global supply chain transformation and cross-functional partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading across multiple sites, regions, or countries.
• Broad experience across sourcing, procurement, supplier management, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and change-leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership for global supply chain teams spanning multiple sites (US, Costa Rica, Vietnam, China).
• Develop and execute a global supply chain strategy aligned with business goals and manufacturing footprint.
• Build a cohesive global function with clear accountability, standards, and performance expectations.
• Establish organizational structure and leadership capability to support growth and complexity.
• Lead NOS development and integration for scalable global supply chain operations.
• Partner with operations to improve supplier performance and supply continuity.
• Own processes for demand planning, supply planning, MRP governance, and inventory management.
• Establish KPIs, governance, and escalation mechanisms across sourcing, planning, and logistics.
• Drive global standards, governance, and cross-functional collaboration across sites.
