Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company is seeking a Director of Quality Supplier to lead enterprise supplier quality initiatives from its Atlanta, GA location (Hybrid). The role oversees 1000+ suppliers and drives transformation through risk management, QMS deployment, and data-driven governance.

Qualifications include a mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering degree, 10+ years managing teams, 7+ years in electro-mechanical industries, and a strong track record with APQP/PPAP and Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial preferred).
• 5+ years of global supplier quality experience across multiple regions.
• 7+ years in electro-mechanical product environments with long lifecycles and warranty liabilities.
• 10+ years leading teams and managing performance.
• Hands-on experience implementing QMS, supplier quality software, or Industry 4.0 analytics.
• Expert knowledge of APQP and PPAP for new product introductions.
• Expert problem-solving using 8D, Red-X, Six Sigma, etc.
• Proficient with MS Office, MS Project/Clarity and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement supplier risk management model across 1000+ suppliers.
• Develop standard work for supplier risk processes.
• Design risk-based audits and optimize resources.
• Drive high-risk, high-value components with governance of low-risk goods.
• Automate digital quality with real-time vendor performance visibility.
• Provide strategic leadership to Enterprise Supplier Quality teams.
• Embed APQP/PPAP into New Product Introduction.
• Build a supplier development playbook with internal customers to protect throughput and delivery.
• Establish financial traceability and chargeback mapping for field failures.
• Implement supplier process certification with reporting for visibility.
