Job summary

RTX is seeking a Supplier Development Lead to drive supplier recovery, capability improvement, and sustainable performance across global commodities. The role is hands-on and cross-functional, supporting containment, supplier assessments, and structured improvement plans.

You will lead containment actions, RCCA investigations, supplier readiness for new programs, and KPI tracking. Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Quality, Engineering, and SBUs, with up to 50% travel to ensure long-term

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 7+ years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years of related experience.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed - approximately 50% of time.
• Experience in Electronics commodities (PWB, PCBA, Components, Modules, Distributors).
• Experience in Supplier Management, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Containment & Recovery leadership, RCCA investigations for critical issues.
• Lead supplier containment actions with Operations and Quality.
• Coordinate improvement plans and KPI tracking with stakeholders.
• Lead supplier readiness for new programs and volume ramp-ups.
• Facilitate gate reviews and sustainment after development objectives are met.
