Job summary

Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Subcontract Manager to oversee outsourced fabrication projects and manage subcontractor performance.

The role requires frequent travel to Europe, Mexico, Canada and Asia, coordinating schedules, deliveries and quality inspections. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration, at least 5 years in manufacturing outsourcing, and strong communication skills; CPCM is a plus and

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing or outsourcing.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div I and/or ASME Section III is an advantage.
• Domestic and international travel required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPCM certification is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel at an advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors' schedule and progress reports for engineering deliverables, materials procurement, fabrication, testing, shipping preparation and shipment.
• Manage schedule of all deliverables as shown in the DDTS.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks that may impede subcontractor performance and PO requirements.
• Coordinate progress visits to subcontractor facilities as necessary.
• Communicate with Project Management about late deliveries to pursue back-charges or liquidated damages.
• Coordinate with the Supplier Quality Representative for subcontractor inspections and status reporting.
• Participate in subcontractor evaluations and annual performance reviews.
• Manage Purchase Order agreements with subcontractors.
