Job summary

Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Subcontract Manager to lead subcontractor management for outsourced fabrication projects. The role requires frequent travel to visit subcontractors in Europe, Mexico, Canada and Asia.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, procurement, and compliance with DDTS; coordinating inspections with the SQR; and overseeing PO agreements with suppliers, with an emphasis on risk mitigation and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or outsourcing of heat exchangers, boilers, or pressure vessels.
• Knowledge of ASME VIII Div I and/or ASME III is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• CPCM certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractor schedules and progress reports for engineering, materials, fabrication, testing, and shipping.
• Manage DDTS-driven deliverables schedule and associated procurement activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting subcontractor performance and PO requirements.
• Coordinate site visits to subcontractor facilities as needed.
• Address late deliveries with subcontractors and pursue liquidated damages when warranted.
• Coordinate with SQR for inspection activities and report status to the project team.
• Participate in subcontractor evaluations and annual performance reviews.
• Administer Purchase Order agreements with subcontractors.
