Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an International Student and Scholar Advisor within the Harvard International Office to provide immigration advising and support for international students and scholars, including pre-arrival guidance, orientation, and cultural adaptation.

As DSO/ARO, you will ensure compliance with government regulations, handle SEVIS data, assist with visa documents, and coordinate with campus partners to support visa status, transfers, and practical training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and two years of experience with international students.
• Experience with SEVIS compliance and campus-based international student services.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and scholars on immigration status and visa documents.
• Act as DSO/ARO to ensure regulatory compliance and timely processing of cases.
• Coordinate SEVIS data entry and data transfer with campus partners.
• Provide guidance on change of status, transfers, employment, and practical training.
• Respond to inquiries and advise on travel plans and signatures.
