Job summary

Center for Public Partnerships & Research seeks a Senior International Advisor to serve as a DSO for F-1 and an ARO for J-1, overseeing immigration compliance and advising international students and scholars. The role reports to the Assistant Director of Advising and Compliance and may supervise 1–2 international advisors.

Responsibilities include policy guidance, SEVIS document production, and leading workshops on F-1/J-1 regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus 1 year of P/DSO & A/RO experience or Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant P/DSO & A/RO experience.
• Attention to detail as evidenced by application materials.
• Excellent written communication skills as evidenced by application materials.
• One year experience delivering workshops on F-1 or J-1 immigration regulations.
• Three years of Microsoft Office Suite experience as demonstrated by application materials.
• One year experience working with SEVIS as a P/DSO and an A/RO.
• One year experience with database management systems.

Responsibilities

• 55% Senior Immigration Advising and Compliance: guidance on immigration policies and SEVIS documentation.
• 30% Supervise International Advisors and oversee compliance areas for efficiency and accuracy.
• 10% Technology and Systems: design and implement immigration-related tech solutions and forms.
• 5% Training: train non-DSOs and KU departments on immigration rules.
