Job summary

Impact-Environmental-Group (IEG) is seeking a Director of Global Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain in Chicago, hybrid. You will lead the transformation from transactional procurement to strategic sourcing, expanding the supplier base across the US and globally, and manage day-to-day North American supply chain operations with a skilled team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in supply chain/procurement, deep expertise in steel/plastic resin, and a track record of cost savings, supplier

Qualifications

10+ years of supply chain and procurement experience.
5+ years in strategic sourcing or category leadership.
Deep commodity procurement expertise in steel and/or plastic resin.
Experience with private equity backed or high-growth acquisitions is preferred.
Bachelor's degree; CPSM/CSCP a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and execute a multi-year strategic sourcing roadmap expanding the supplier base.
Own supplier rationalization, exiting underperformers and re-awarding volume.
Lead low-cost country source development in Mexico, Eastern Europe, India, and Southeast Asia.
Onboard new supply partners for direct materials like steel and plastics.
Establish dual/ regional sourcing for critical categories to reduce risk.
Lead RFQ, negotiation, and contracting for strategic categories to achieve savings.
Monitor tariff/trade developments and mitigate landed cost risk.
Build a structured supplier development program with audits and corrective actions.
Develop supplier scorecards and SRM cadence with performance metrics.
Foster executive relationships with strategic suppliers for capacity and innovation.
Serve as commodity leader for steel and plastic resin, manage pricing strategies.
Standardize sourcing processes across North American divisions and acquisitions.
Collaborate with Finance on savings tracking and PPV reporting.
