Trelleborg Healthcare and Medical is seeking a Global Strategic Account Director to join their team.

You are responsible for leading the Strategic Account Team to deliver profitable growth through Trelleborg Medical Solutions largest global customers.

This role will lead a team of Global Strategic Account Managers to accelerate profitable growth within a large, global and complex customer base. This will include guiding and directing the Strategic Account Managers to formulate global account plans, negotiate contracts, support existing business and elevate the partnership between the customer and Trelleborg.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Global Strategic Account Director may, as needed, develop and directly manage Strategic Accounts. Responsibilities include developing the global strategic account plan to ensure profitable growth within the customer and then is accountable for its execution globally – including developing key customer relationships, building an internal support team, and tracking project progress.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience leading through influence, preferably in B2B sales/commercial organization.
  • Medical Device Contract Manufacturing experience and/or Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing and Process experience preferred.
  • Sales or Business Development experience in a Global Organization
  • Strong knowledge of business, sales and marketing practices
  • Experienced in creation and implementation of high level 3 year business plans and strategies

Responsibilities:

External:

  • Establish and drive best practices for SAM team to gather credible data and develop a deep working knowledge on customer(s) organization, structure, strategies, competitors (customer and TMS), and economic trends relating to the account(s) globally.
  • Develop a relationship with all relevant roles within the customer globally, with emphasis on the C suite.
  • Lead and manage by influence and with the right use of the right networks externally.
  • Organize regular strategic alignment sessions with the account(s) and develop a road map for the account(s) including medium- and long-term strategy.
  • Active use of Sales Excellence framework in execution of the strategic plan.
  • When necessary, act as an escalation point for the Strategic Account Managers as they negotiate with customers.

Internal:

  • Responsible for the global growth of sales and profitability of the account(s).
  • Lead efforts to develop the global strategic / growth plan (annually) across all of the strategic accounts, with input from the global account team to ensure global growth and profitability of the account(s). The plan should have both a short-, medium- and long-term view and include detailed expectations with projects, sales, profit targets.
  • Is accountable for execution of the plan(s) globally, leading Strategic Account Managers to execute on a global basis.
  • Identify the people and resources required to support the account(s) regionally (R&D, Marketing, Strategic Initiatives, SCM, etc.). Align those resources through coaching and communication globally.
  • Develop the appropriate team structures for the account(s).
  • Lead and manage by influence and with the right use of the right networks internally.
  • Providing reports and updates to the appropriate Business Unit President(s) and the Executive Board as required.
  • Tracking and managing of project pipeline.
  • Works collaboratively with Segment managers, Product Managers, & Product Line Directors, in an effort to identify market wide product needs and services.
  • Provide dotted-line support to Strategic Account Managers in other business units within Trelleborg Medical Solutions.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.
  • Location is appropriate to the account(s) and based in existing office.
