Job summary

Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support global and regional procurement efforts. You will help drive cost reductions, supplier development, and contracts while aligning with engineering, sales, operations and quality teams.

The role emphasizes market analysis, risk mitigation, and project leadership to improve total cost of ownership across categories and suppliers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field.
• CPIM certification is an advantage.
• Travel requirements – 10% domestic.
• 5+ years experience in sourcing raw materials, components, or services.
• Understanding of procurement category management and risk mitigation.
• Experience with global sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, QAD, Fourth Shift.

Responsibilities

• Support global and regional sourcing of procurement categories.
• Assist supplier development and cost-reduction projects.
• Implement sourcing processes, market strategies, and supplier strategies.
• Analyze procurement markets, cost drivers and risk mitigation.
• Negotiate tooling and pricing, write contracts, and perform value analysis.
• Improve supplier performance metrics and scorecards.
• Execute projects to deliver the team’s sourcing strategy to stakeholders.
• Lead analysis and actions to reduce total cost, including terms and inventory.
• Monitor global commodity indexes and macro trends for steady supply.
• Visit suppliers for continuous improvement with the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
