Job summary

Hypertherm Associates is seeking a Category Manager to join our Global Sourcing team to manage fabricated metal, formed metal, machined metal and machined non-metal. The role focuses on risk assessment, supplier qualification, and cost-saving opportunities, with collaboration across Legal, Finance, Operations, and Logistics.

The candidate will work with Category Specialists to develop strategies, lead supplier negotiations, and ensure supplier performance meets expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of supply chain experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, document and drive category strategies with BT Category Specialists.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and supplier qualification processes.
• Manage contract negotiations and ensure timely procurement milestones.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and support NPI activities.
