Job summary

Jobtailor in Austin is seeking a sourcing leader to own the data center mechanical category, including chillers, CDUs, AHUs and pumps, for liquid‑cooled builds. You will lead multi‑year supplier relationships and drive two‑source strategies with OEMs.

Collaborate with manufacturing and design to freeze specifications early, secure capacity, and meet market lead times, while optimizing cost and delivery reliability.

Qualifications

• Have sourced major mechanical equipment (chillers, CDUs, AHUs, pumps) for data center or industrial programs.
• Have negotiated with mechanical OEMs on multi-year committed volumes.
• Know liquid cooling equipment well enough to challenge a spec or a price with substance.
• Have managed factory schedules and witness points so delivery dates were held.

Requirements

• Have sourced major mechanical equipment (chillers, CDUs, AHUs, pumps) for data center or industrial programs.
• Have negotiated with mechanical OEMs on multi‑year committed volumes.
• Know liquid cooling equipment well enough to challenge a spec or a price with substance.
• Have managed factory schedules and witness points so delivery dates were held.
• Bonus: Direct‑to‑chip liquid cooling, modular skid packages, factory acceptance testing, refrigerant and coolant markets.
