Job summary

Fleet Data Centers seeks an experienced Mechanical GCM Director to lead procurement of mechanical cooling equipment for its data center development projects. You will manage the full procurement lifecycle from acquisition to operations, with a focus on data center mission-critical infrastructure such as chillers, CRAC, cooling towers and adiabatic cooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years in Mechanical Equipment supply chain, with 3–5 years on data center infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of data center systems and vendors (OEMs/integrators).
• Experience in fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain tools, data analytics, and BI tools.
• Excellent project, contract, and change management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with objectives.
• Lead end-to-end RFx processes from initiation to award.
• Assess supplier capacity and capabilities through industry analysis.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, qualification, and new product development.
• Drive supplier performance and relationship management initiatives.
• Mitigate supply chain risks through strategic planning.
• Oversee category lifecycle management and transitions.
• Implement sustainability and social responsibility initiatives.
• Monitor and report KPIs like cost savings and cycle times.
