Job summary

General Motors seeks a Global Sourcing Manager to drive purchase of commodities, services and materials with cross-functional collaboration. You will develop commodity strategies, execute sourcing and negotiations, and contribute to global material budgets.

The role requires data-driven decision making, leadership in supplier engagement, and the ability to travel 5–10% domestically and internationally. Hybrid work and relocation benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics or product development.
• Demonstrates data analysis and objective decision making.
• Willingness to travel 5-10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sourcing pipeline, benchmarking data, strategy presentations, global budget, and on-time metrics.
• Lead sourcing strategy, bid list development and management, and quote analysis.
• Coordinate RFQ components, terms, T&Cs, SOR, and quality alignment with cross-functional teams.
• Lead supplier relationship management and issue resolution; support KPIs reviews.
• Represent purchasing in supplier risk mitigation and change management activities.
