General Motors seeks a Global Sourcing Manager to drive purchase of commodities, services and materials with cross-functional collaboration. You will develop commodity strategies, execute sourcing and negotiations, and contribute to global material budgets.
The role requires data-driven decision making, leadership in supplier engagement, and the ability to travel 5–10% domestically and internationally. Hybrid work and relocation benefits are available.
As a Global Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and/or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or services. You will be expected to actively participate in the development of a commodity strategy, executing sourcing and negotiations, contribute to global material budget execution, and collaboration with suppliers and internal partners.
Work requires a demonstrated ability to function collaboratively, display initiative, an ability to assess options via analysis as well as a capability to exercise independent judgment and recommend plans of action for the larger commodity team.
