Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager responsible for purchasing productive and/or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or services. You will develop commodity strategies, execute sourcing and negotiations, and collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to drive global budget execution.

The role requires collaboration, initiative, data-driven analysis, and independent judgment to recommend plans of action for the larger commodity team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sourcing pipeline, benchmarking data, strategy presentations and global budget tracking.
• Adhere to corporate purchasing practices, procedures and controls.
• Lead sourcing strategy, RFQ development, quote analysis and terms alignment.
• Coordinate RFQ components and ensure compliance and quality alignment.
• Lead cross-functional decisions on sourcing recommendations.
• Maintain sourcing documentation per GM Audit Services requirements.
• Support direct material budget activities and supplier relationship management initiatives.
• Lead or participate in supplier KPI reviews and mitigation of supply disruptions.
