Job summary

Flexsteel Industries Inc. is seeking a Global Sourcing professional to bridge commodity and component strategies between Asia-based suppliers and Mexico manufacturing.

You will identify and develop sourcing strategies to ensure cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity, while mitigating risks across foam, plywood, motors, and other components. The role requires managing supplier relationships, contracts, and KPIs to optimize total cost of ownership, and collaborating with Product

Qualifications

• Global sourcing experience across regions, especially Asia and Mexico.
• Strong supplier relationship management and performance tracking (KPIs/scorecards).
• Experience negotiating contracts and driving total cost of ownership improvements.
• Collaboration with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and SIOP.
• Ability to drive supplier quality and on-time delivery across a supplier base.

Responsibilities

• Bridge sourcing strategies between Asia-based suppliers and Mexico operations, aligning cost, quality, lead time and continuity.
• Develop global sourcing strategies to secure raw materials and components while mitigating risk.
• Build strategic supplier relationships; negotiate contracts and manage performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support NPI and new product launches; drive growth initiatives.
• Establish performance expectations, monitor metrics, and lead corrective actions with suppliers.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers for innovation and NPI projects; conduct supplier visits and capability assessments.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support development and project execution.
