Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Director of Sourcing for the Medical Division’s Portage location. This role leads global sourcing activities, supplier performance initiatives, and a team of sourcing professionals to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality and service levels.

The position partners with stakeholders to execute cost-reduction strategies and build a scalable supplier base. The role requires strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and strong negotiation skills to deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of sourcing/procurement experience preferably in medical devices or other highly regulated environments.
• Strategic thinker – operates at a high level while understanding details.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with world-class strategic sourcing and category management practices.
• Strong negotiations skills negotiating and implementing commercial contracts including QAA.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate initiatives with a virtual, global team.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of strategies and goals in support of overall divisional objectives for Sourcing in Portage.
• Establish and maintain contractual relationships with senior suppliers.
• Lead critical program initiatives and drive cross-divisional, group-wide strategies.
• Formulate processes to build a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization.
• Lead sourcing analysis, cost analyses, and make/buy analyses as needed.
• Negotiate and enforce supplier contracts, drive negotiations with large suppliers.
