Job summary

nVent seeks a Sourcing Director for Data Solutions to lead end-to-end sourcing, supplier development, and governance across a global supplier network. This role partners with engineering, operations and program teams to optimize capacity, cost, and continuity while strengthening executive supplier relationships.

You will define global strategies, drive risk mitigation, and implement processes to reduce total cost while improving resilience and responsiveness to rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced certification preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain.
• Strategic sourcing leadership to define global strategies and supplier networks.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, total cost of ownership awareness.
• Executive-level supplier relationship management and governance.
• Supplier development, capacity planning, ramp readiness and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for key commodities and suppliers.
• Define and execute a global sourcing strategy aligned with growth and capacity.
• Lead supplier discussions from pricing to multi-year strategic relationships.
• Build executive-level supplier partnerships to support innovation and capacity expansion.
• Plan supplier ramp and ensure rate readiness for rapid business growth.
• Monitor market trends, risks, and inflation impacts to guide sourcing decisions.
• Implement governance over contracts, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, planning and quality to align sourcing with product roadmaps.
