Job summary

nVent seeks an experienced sourcing leader to optimize cost, quality and supply continuity across key categories. You will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and partner with world-class teams to align procurement with business goals.

A strategic thinker with 8+ years in supply chain and strong people leadership is essential. You will travel as needed to support global supplier ecosystems and drive multi-million dollar contract outcomes in a dynamic growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a relatively large supply chain organization are preferred.
• Proven leadership and people-development skills.
• Experience managing complex categories and multi-million dollar contracts.
• Strategic thinking and adaptability in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery and continuity.
• Lead negotiations with strategic suppliers to achieve cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to align sourcing with business needs.
• Identify and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks through proactive planning and monitoring.
• Drive supplier performance via scorecards, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead supplier selection, contract management and capacity planning to ensure long-term supply reliability.
• Foster strong supplier partnerships to enable collaboration, innovation and growth.
• Use data and market intelligence to support sourcing decisions and evaluate supplier capabilities.
