Job summary

HMH is seeking a motivated Sourcing & Supply Chain Intern to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, strategic sourcing, and pricing analytics within a global supply chain. You will develop skills in combining traditional methods with AI, working with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and cost optimization.

Internship spans 12 weeks in Houston, with real exposure to global procurement initiatives and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled and working toward a Bachelor or Graduate degree (Business and Engineering preferred).
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Good interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

Analyze supplier data using AI and traditional methods to identify optimization opportunities.
Evaluate legacy suppliers and suggest consolidation to cut costs and improve delivery.
Assist in developing material pricing tools and predictive models from engineering data and indices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share insights and align strategies.
Prepare and present data-driven findings to support global sourcing initiatives.
Support development of operational analytics tools for ongoing supply chain improvement.
