Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) in Malvern, PA, seeks a Manager, Software Development to lead a globally distributed software organization responsible for customer-facing apps, platforms, cloud services, and integration tools. You will shape engineering direction, governance, and delivery, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable software.

You will oversee teams across the United States and Europe, translating business priorities into executable plans, managing budgets, and driving improvements

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with leadership responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead multiple software teams and develop engineering managers and individual contributors.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams and collaborating across cultures, functions, and time zones.
• Proven delivery experience across commercial software products, platforms, or services through the full product lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, development methodologies, secure engineering practices, DevOps, CI/CD, and software quality management.
• Ability to balance strategic goals, customer needs, technical risk, delivery commitments, and long-term organizational capability.
• Experience managing external development partners, contract resources, budgets, and workforce plans.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders at all levels.

• Balance new development, platform modernization, customer commitments, and sustaining engineering needs.
• Set software engineering direction, standards, governance, and quality expectations.
• Build leadership depth through recruiting, coaching, and succession planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in development practices, tooling, automation, and metrics.
• Partner with Product Management, Firmware, Systems, Test, Customer Support, and Operations.
