Job summary
Abbott’s Lake Forest, IL location seeks a visionary engineering leader to drive global software engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, platform engineering, data, AI, DevOps, quality engineering, and user experience for the AlinIQ Workflow Management portfolio.
This leader defines and executes the technology strategy for a connected laboratory informatics ecosystem spanning legacy platforms, client-server apps, hybrid architectures, and cloud-native SaaS solutions while ensuring compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a related technical discipline with strong software architecture foundation.
- 15+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
- 10+ years leading global engineering organizations across multiple disciplines.
- Experience with onshore and offshore development teams and outcomes-based partnership.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technology strategy for a connected laboratory informatics ecosystem.
- Lead global software engineering, architecture, DevOps, cybersecurity, and UX.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR and cybersecurity requirements.
- Modernize legacy systems to cloud-native platforms and reduce technical debt.
- Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver enterprise software at scale.
